Skofield
We headed down to Skofield Utah this past week. We were lucky enough to tag along with our camping buddies the Bangerters. We covered miles and miles of old logging roads on private property – so there was a lot of trail breaking and log moving. Thankfully Bobby brought his trusty chain saw :)
This picture was taken at sunrise as the boys were scoping out a canyon for deer and elk.
This was an old abondoned logging rig that the boys were pretty excited to play on.
The 3 buddies were great kids…
Grandpa Dave’s Jeep is always the place to be.
Day 2 we treked down to Skolfield Reservoir to cool off in the lake.
The caravan home, until next time.

City Creek Canyon Bike Ride
Last week we loaded up the kids and bikes and rode up City Creek canyon. It was quite the workout and we were pretty proud of ourselves for doing it, especially with the kids in the bike trailer. 6 miles up, 6 miles down, 1500’ elevation gain averaging 7.5% grade.
Mason showing off his 2nd recently lost tooth.

Farm. Parade / Slip N’ Slide
Farmington Parade is always a lot of fun, and Legacy Dance was sure not to miss out. The temperature was HOT as we waited for the parade to start, but the kids were very patient and it was well worth it.
The Judy Allen team got involved as well, and got the manly Ranger all fancy.
After the parade we headed up to the Fox’s home made slip n’ slide, and WOW what a blast. About 150’ of plastic, a steep hill and a little water is a receipe for some serious F.U.N. Max and Mason were non stop, running up the hill and and sliding down again. Our slip n’ slide video is soon to come…….
As you can imagine, Skee was the fastest one down the hill as he would be airborn.
Later that night we headed up to the top of Bountiful for a night ride on the ranger with some friends – we did however, forget our camera, so we’ll have to steal some from the Bell’s :) KFC chicken was on the menu at the top of Btfl Peak and we tried to watch the Farmington Fireworks from up high, but most of the kids were falling asleep.

July 4th Celebration
After church we headed to Grandma Judy’s for a yummy BBQ, and then to good ol’ Banbury circle for our own firework show. Thanks Grandma Judy for the yummy dinner and also providing the awesome monster box of fireworks. The boys couldn’t wait for it to get dark.

4th of July – Uinta Trip
The annual 4th of July trip to the Uinta’s was a success! Matt left early with the kids on Thursday to find a sweet spot before it got too crowded. I drove up later that night with my Mom. On the way up the canyon a huge bull moose crossed the road right in front of us. It wasn’t in much of a hurry as it stopped right in front of the car. It was way fun to see. We put on about 100 miles of country mountain roads over the weekend. We saw tons of animals and lots of beautiful vistas. We’re so grateful for this beautiful country we live in and for the opportunity we have to explore it. We’re grateful for the people that gave us that right.
Pappa Kurt came up as well. The boys loved riding with him because they got to drive the 4 wheeler.
The Ranger once again was a huge hit :)
The boys thought it was cool to take over their dad’s chair as they kicked back and relaxed.
We saw our friends the billy goats again on the Duschene Bluff. We are always amazed at how those animals maneuver down the steep cliffs and slopes.
Lunch time at the top of ‘Ricky’s Bowl’…
Our cute little boys! They were so good the whole trip.
Here’s all the kids!
Saturday night we drove down the valley to Matt’s future retirement town, Oakley, Utah. (He swears he will live there one day) We’ve lost track of how many years we’ve been going to this 4th of July rodeo, but it never gets old. We met up with Grandpa Scott and Uncle Scooter and Aunt B. Everybody was decked in their cowboy getup’ except for Matt, who has the gear, but forgot to bring it.
Fireworks ended up the evening and we headed for the hills to finish out the vacation.
