Christmas Day!

Christmas Eve night we were able to hang out with Grandma Hummer and Alan. Vaughn and Helina had a Christmas Eve pajama party that was a TON of fun. It was so nice to be with family during the holidays. We try not to take for granted being so close to all of our family.

Christmas day started out at our home and the boys were VERY excited. Mason and Maxwell left cookies and milk and a key out for Santa (Mason has been very concerned that we don't have a chimney - in fact he has insisted that our next house has a chimney). Nothing but smiles and memories as we celebrated another Christmas together!

After our house he headed to Pappa Draper's and Grandma Lynn's. The boys were bombarded with Transformers action figures. It was very interesting to see the grown men trying to figure out how to change the transformers into trucks.
Pappa and Grandma Draper surprised everybody with "Rockstar" and it was a hit! We just have to keep Uncle Vaughn away from the microphone and we're just fine.
We then headed to Grandma Judy's and Mike's where we were once again spoiled. The boys got so many transformers that we were worried our truck was going to turn to a transformer on the drive home. ha ha

Christmas Eve Traditions

Christmas Eve we headed out with friends for the hills of Monte Cristo for some serious sledding. While the air was cold (12*) the skies were clear so the sunshine warmed us up pretty good. The kids loved to sled but the highlight was being pulled by the snowmobiles.

Crash and burn little boys!

Merry Christmas!

We were determined to make a trip to the temple in a foot of new snow and freezing temperatures to see the beautiful lights - Well worth it!

How appropriate to make snow angles on the temple grounds

Photo's with Santa at our annual Remax santa shoot at Flip's.

Mo's dancers performed at the Festival of Trees again this year. After the show we found a human bubble machine. The boys had a blast.

Mase's preschool Christmas program / pajama party. We love Miss Shauna. Mase has learned so much. His class sang many Christmas songs including one in Spanish. We're so proud of him.

Mase had some friends over and we made gingerbread houses. They turned out great!!

Jada, Kaelyn, Ethan and MaseMase, Max and Mom went to the Zoo. It was a beautiful day for November. I was expecting to look at each animal and move to the next animal. Mase and Max had a different idea. Mase loved reading all about each animal. Max love to sit and watch each animal for a really long time. Love my boys!!
Max measuring up.
Mase is almost there.
Mason's favorite were the Giraffe's.
Max loved the bears and the Zebras.

Thanksgiving Traditions - Our Favorite Holiday

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! It started out at 6am Mase and Daddy got up early to go rabbit hunting with friends. Mase had a hard time sleeping the night before because he was just so excited. The rain, mud and cold weather didn't phaze those boys at all. Throwing rocks, shooting guns and asking boy questions like, "you think the coyotes will get us?" Boys will be boys. Next year Maxwell will join in on the bunny hunt.

Thanksgiving is our favorite holiday. We love the Thanksgiving feast with loved ones but we also love the transition into Christmas. It's this time of year where family traditions start and memories are made.
The rest of our holiday consisted of heading to Gradma Judy's house where she prepared quite the spread. Daddy ate himself sick like usual. We all headed to the basement and play the Wii for hours on end!

GO UTES!!!

Hey, it's Matt here - takin over the blog thing for a second. Anyway, it's that time of the year again. There does not exist a greater instate rivalry than the BYU / Utah game. Here are the Draper home we are true Utah fans, and to be perfectly honest, we do cheer for BYU anytime they are not playing the U (that might make you BYU fans feel a little better). The other day our neighbor Jamon Bell (For those of you who don't know J, he's the ULTIMATE BYU fan - in fact he's actually the guy that runs the clock at all the BYU home games) sent his daughter Miss Jada over to play with Mase. I really couldn't believe my eyes! I just had to take a picture of her in her outfit. Red is just her color. I think you can probably tell in the video that Jada is a true die hard Ute fan. That might be a hard pill for daddy to swallow but it's true, look in her eyes. It is going to be a really fun game and may the best team win!

Disney On Ice!

We had quite the gang that went to Disney on Ice. It was so fun to spend time with family and friends. The boys would yell out every characters name as they appeared on the ice - don't think they missed one. We all made a covenant with the other parents that we wouldn't buy a $10 cotton candy / snow cone. When the kids asked for them we whipped out the 3 for $1 candy we purchased before hand. Talk about being prepared (or el cheapo) - worked great!
