I have a feeling that this summer is going to be really busy. Today alone we had a field trip, soccer game and Mason's and Maxwell's first mini Rodeo. The boys have been so excited for this and we had a great time. The best part of the rodeo is dressing up in the proper git up'. We've always been sold on the cowboy boots - the boys won't leave home without them, but now we're sold on the Wrangler jeans as well. Way too cute.
The first event was the barrel racing. I've been working with them a lot on the pattern and they both nailed it down and had really good times.
The next event was so funny. The pics look like the boys are grabbing the goats butt, but this is how it works. They are timed to see how long it take them to run and grab the ribbon off the goats tail and run back. Mase didn't hesitate and did well.
Maxwell, on the other hand, decided to put the sneak on the goat. Max didn't want to run up to it so he grabbed the rope and tried to pull the goat toward him. Matt and I were in tears because we were laughing so hard - the absolute cutest thing in the world. After Max retrieved the ribbon he kind of mozied on back to the finish line. So funny!
Now, this is where we need some practice. Calf roping isn't as easy as in looks. We are going to practice this event for next time.
All this cowboy stuff sure makes you tired...
We still have many rodeo's to come, hopefully we'll improve every time. The next rodeo Mason is going to do the "muttin bustin'" event - hang on there lil' buddy.

They look pretty dang cute!! That is so fun they are doing all that rodeo stuff. Ken's misses you so much she is always asking when she gets to see you again. My girls just love you thanks for being so good to them always!!

I love this post. Your boys would totally fit in at the Winn Family parties. Those parties are packed with little Wrangler butts.

OK, so I know these boys are the cutest boys on the planet... but especially I LOVE these photos at the rodeo!!! What a crack up, practicing their skills! The yawn photo is a riot!
