Our PreSchool Grad

As we were waiting for the preschool graduation ceremony to start Matt mentioned he's just WAY to young to have a preschool graduate. I can't believe Mase is done with preschool and off to kindergarten next year. He's really excited to be able to go to kindergarten with his bestest friends. Jada and Kae came to support Mase on this big day :)

Miss Shauna prepared a Hawaiian luau for the kids and they really enjoyed it. Mason won a fishy. (Look at the fishes facial expression - You know what it's thinking "OH CRAP") Luckily Beckstrands have an aquarium and there is where he'll live. Thanks Beckstrands for adopting.

We were constantly amazed and Mason's progress throughout the year. He really is a smart cookie and has a great memory.

The other day we went on a hike up Muller Park. Everything was so nice and green. Alison and Kyle and Emily joined us. This is a picture of Alison and Kyle babying their baby Hanky. The dog was drinking water out of their hands.

Hanky didn't last too long on the trail with his stubby legs and ended up hitching a ride with Kyle.

This picture was taken by Mase with daddy's big dslr camera and expensive lens. Mase is a natural photographer. Matt can relax now as he was a little tense in this picture wondering if Mase would drop the camera... Mase didn't drop the camera.

Mason also had his final tball game and look! He won a trophy. He was so proud. He came home and showed all his friends and even slept with it the first night. We were pleased with Mason's athletics and understanding of the game. He was getting the other boys out at the bases. Good job Mason!

A Memorable Memorial Day

This memorial weekend we headed to Goblin Valley. It was a new experience for our family as we have never been there before. We headed out got there just fine. About an hour after we got there it started to sprinkle a little. Well, a little turned into a lot and it rained for 24 hours straight! We were fortunate to have a dry camper so we didn't get too wet, but the 6 square feet of the camper got really old with our 2 little busy boys so we headed out for drier ground in the truck. About 4:00pm there was a break in the storm and we decided to hike a canyon called Little Crazy Horse. What is usually a dry walk was a good size creek. We were conscious of flash flooding and kept on high ground.

It was fun to be able to see these natural water falls that have formed over the years.

We had to keep our eyes on our little dare devils, but they had a blast climbing walls and throwing rocks...

What a beautiful part of the country we live close to. It felt like we were in Lake Powell with out water.

Goblin Valley State Park was our next stop. It was a cool little valley that has eroded over they millions of years to make a cool little "goblin" field. These natural sculptures were as far as the eye could see.
We added our own little "goblins" to the valley...

This is what the rig looked like after a day of driving around and exploring. Although we had to cut the trip a little short because of the rain, we sure had a great time and hope to visit again soon.

Expecting...

Yea! I'm pregnant (we haven't offically announced it on our blog yet) We went in for our ultrasound appointment and the baby is wonderfully healthy. Our due date is October 13th. We took the boys with us as they were really excited to hear the gender. After about 30 seconds of the doctor pushing the devise around my belly he said "Déjà vu?" Yep, it's another BOY! We are so excited. Max was really expecting a girl, but he's over it. We're still tossing around some "M" names but I guess we have time to think about it. Matt's brother Vaughn and Helina are having a boy around the same time so the whole family was pretty excited about that. Looks like it's going to be a dude fest at the Draper's...

Wheeler Farm

This weeks field trip in Mason's preschool was at Wheeler Farm

Pappa Kurt got his bike out for the summer - Mase and Max couldn't be happier.

Hanky Panky

This is a new member of the family. Ok, the extended family. Alison and Kyle got a new puppy named Hank. We love that our family get dogs, cause we can borrow them any time we please and then when we get sick of them we send them home. No chewed up shoes, fur in the house or poop in the yard :) Hank is so cute. Yes, I think Hank's eyes are bulging out of his head because Max is squeezing him so tight.

Final T ball game

Mase had his last t ball game of the season. It was a great season and Mason really improved each game. He loved it. He was really glad Ethan could be on his team.

Camp Zarahemla

Mason and Maxwell couldn't wait for daddy to take them to Fathers and Sons campout. They were pretty excited that it was just da boys. They carpooled up with the Castleberry's. Mase was pretty excited to have Camdon ride with him. He looks up to him a lot.

The boys had a ton of fun. They cooked steaks for dinner, roasted marshmellows, hiked and ran around the campground with flash lights after dark. Can't wait till next year.

The next day after the campout Matt and the boys introduced Wright's, Fraziers and Castleberry's to geocacheing. They found 6 different treasures in the Morgan valley.

2 Birds With One Stone

After some positive peer pressure from Mason's good friends Kaylee and Kaelynn, Mason has learned to ride a big boy bike with no training wheels. Although easily frustrated, Mason persevered and we are amazed at how fast these kids catch on. Mase and K now zoom around the circle chasing each other as if they've discovered a new freedom.

Not to steal the spotlight from Mase because we are so proud of him, but lil' Max just couldn't stand watching his big brother ride without training wheels, so he asked to take his training wheels off. We were reluctant, but decided to give it a try. The very first push he was off, and this morning he was totally solo...

It is the cutest thing to watch Max's legs pedal really fast on this tiny bike. So, just like that both the boys are riding 2 wheelers. Good Job Boys!

Will Spring Every Come?

This was May 5th. Matt and his buds can't get enough of this "spring" weather. Yes, those are camo shorts and a t-shirt... sigh....

Boys at Stansbury

I had a dance competition this weekend so Matt decided to take the boys wheelin' with uncle Scooter. They headed to Stansbury Island and there were tons of trails to be followed. Mase enjoyed learning about the Great Salt Lake as you can tell in the picture below...

There were plenty of logs to be thrown...
Bugs to be poked....
and rocks to be hucked! Boys will be boys.
