Memorial Weekend

We took time this weekend to remember those who have passed. In particular our grandparents and close relatives. We're so grateful for the path that chose that and choices they made to help be where we are today. We're so blessed! We hope that we can continue the traditions that they taught us.

Over spring break we went to Moab but only got to see a small part of the huge open desert down there. We loved it so much we decided to go again and see a different part. While it once again rained for most of the time back home, we were loving the 80's we had the whole time. We covered miles and miles of roads and saw so many things.

One of our friends brought a lil' motorbike for the kids to cruise around on. Max and Mason couldn't put it down! They caught on quick.

Mackay wouldn't take off these cowboy boots and camo shorts the whole week. This is his kind of country.

Because of all the extra rain we've been receiving there were plenty of water holes around for the kids to cool down in.

Mackay found the water holes very relaxing. He went from this....

to this....

And yes, he convinced his buds to join in on the fun. Rub a dub dub, 3 dudes in a tub.

The men are insane. Thrill junkies...

Mackay wasn't too happy, but we had to get a picture in front of this bruiser we came across. Whatever you point this thing at it will conquer.

This place was called Tusher Tunnel. It actually goes from one side of a mountain to another. Pretty incredible and nice and cool.

I guess I'm loved, the cute little girls made me this shirt... I love you too!

We added one more national park to our list. Arches National park is amazing and I totally recommend it to anyone, as there is something for everybody to do. We set out on some fun hikes and saw some amazing geological features that just blow your mind away.

We spent some time in the actual city of Moab and ate some good food and hung out at the local city park with plenty of shade and grass. Matt was being silly with Mackay and put his shirt like this. We didn't know Mackay would want his shirt like this for the next couple of hours. ;)
